Christmas 2010: A symbol may not be enough
On Christmas Eve I was driving down the streets clogged pre-season typically runs from the last best gift to an excel or more exclusive goodies. Happily listened to the radio. Unfortunately, the music often has to leave room for the words and therefore I resign myself to listen to a radio news of a national network.

The phrase strikes me immediately as a shot and I get some discomfort, not immediately understood, that almost makes me lose control of the car. "Place symbol." Oh no, I say to my wife who stands beside me, "symbol" not really. There, Jesus is born seriously, but. Maybe it will be a matter of a few meters here or there, but beyond where stands the inscription "Hic Verbum caro factum est", right there Jesus was born in earnest. Other than the symbol. Where now there shines a silver star, right there (or not far from there) God has taken human form of a child. And this is a reality to which our humanity is saved even at this moment. Define "symbol" that place is physically verifiable as to relegate Jesus to a myth, something that is not real but, more importantly, has no connection with me, with my day and that of every man.
It's not a matter of vocabulary, not really. And 'that the journalist has done away with, as often we do during our days, the mystery of the Incarnation where it all started.
But thank God, that child is born and that is indelible. Why a "symbol" can not save lives, but historically experienced a Presence (revealed just starting then and in that place), that is.

About six months ago I wrote a post with the same title, only that the argument concerned the exit to the market 's iPhone 4, not this time. Since then, after six months of changes and emotional ups and downs and I am working on a new change, radical enough if we want to see it in terms of work and in society at least for a while 'time, since I'll move to Milan from January. How will it be, what will happen, I like it, it really is the city of fashion, design and advertising? As someone said, "We'll find out only by living." Muscles Above The Quad
You already know how I feel about Facebook, neither love nor hate, just did not feel the need, at least for now. Nevertheless last night I went to see The Social Network , David Fincher's film tells the story of Mark Zuckerberg ( Jesse Adam Eisenberg) and the birth of The Facebook, later renamed Facebook with Sean Parker (one of the co-founder of Napster) starring Justin Timberlake and partner Zuckerberg. I'm always attracted to stories where kids much younger than I can build something really great that touches every part of the globe, and I think every story like this there is always something to learn, both positively and negatively. As it says in the film the boys from Harvard "if they create jobs, do not find it and so did Zuckerberg, a student who has found himself in a few years to be the youngest billionaire in the world. Fincher did not even wrong this movie, running a cast almost unknown face has managed to make the story even more real and personal messages that I have implemented two, maybe 3: 1) The boy, the man who created a network of social exchanges and friendships in the end is the first to find themselves truly alone.
2) For most people, real life is that on Facebook, or better yet on the network in general - and tell me it's not true -.
3) There is a new model of entrepreneurial work, at least in that other part of the ocean is made up of young people, geeks or nerds (call them what you like), which has everything to do and produce a style that is far from the ones we are accustomed. Recommended

If you think a movie where the protagonist wakes up in a coffin buried alive for 90 minutes can give you of claustrophobia, you are wrong.
English director Rodrigo Cortes , can in 90 minutes to keep us alive through a skillful use of the camera, with shots and nothing short of perfect a well-studied photography. In the sense that we identify ourselves in the protagonist, but not so much in its countdown, as in his actions. The film is also accused some 'hidden world of interpersonal communication. The main character played by Ryan Reynolds also having a cell phone, an icon of our time as a means of communication, ull find in trying to establish contact with the outside world. A film that gives a nod to Hitchcock, the director of choice for thriller based on human phobias. A surprise ending prevedibilissimo perhaps, but certainly managed with intelligence and reflection.

Basically, even those who do not use social sites Apps nevertheless become "loyal" who passes less and less every day and goes through the browser. Where Are All The Papers On Counterfeit Island?
I happened to meet a woman who has lived and is living a story so similar to that told in my novel.
Just read it, I said it absolutely had to know the woman who told me his story and that, according to her, I would have poured out in the pages of my book.
When I told her it was all invented, was amazed and could not believe it.
I shudder to learn that there are women who actually live events so terrible and perhaps even more terrible.
But what a great gift for someone who writes to be asked by someone wanting to meet the person who inspired her novel, when it is all born from his imagination!
It 's like my creativity had created something so real to those near him feel, a similar story, has lived and lives seriously.
What others may want to compliment the writer?
That woman has now become my great friend.

This is the first book of Massimo Lolli (author of I just wanted him to stay ) I read and I will tell you that goes down like a cup of cold water on a hot day in August. The story, perhaps have read it already, a manager at age 50 finds himself without work and has to struggle with everyday life and its status quo in the province of Vicenza. The author presents a character in a detached and indifferent, the story is supported by a thin line of irony which together with the squalor of some scenes leave the reader quite crowded out before what is the reality of everyday life.

Inception was released a few weeks in theaters, now you read feedback reviews, some critics' throughout the web and I too have decided to tell the mine. Matrix? Well, there's also a bit 'in the Matrix films but Nolan is the lowest since the movie is a whole history on the architecture of dreams, but not exclusively, is ultimately a love story told in a thriller of excellent caliber. Leonardo DiCaprio is as a thief of ideas that last mission is contrary to having a graft and there starts the journey into the labyrinth of dreams. The cast and the music does not make a turn Marion Cotillard, is confirmed as a mature artist for the genre, as well as Ellen Page forget the striped shirt of Juno and the same DiCaprio shows us that it is no longer on the Titanic. The special effects are there, enjoy the scene in the streets of Paris that makes a certain effect and be lulled by all the psychology that fuels the whole film.
